December 20, 2008 BEYOND URGENT!!!Born Under a Trailer-The 3 Amigos- North Carolina

These dogs are now 100% urgent. The foster mom can't keep them, and they will be taken to a kill shelter is less than a week! Dec 26th, the day after christmas!!!!!!! The foster mom has someone moving in with her and these guys, and 3 other must go. They will not survive 3 days at a kill shelter.

These 3 babies and need a friend or family of their own. They would be great *hiking* buddies, traveling buddies, and family pets. But they are urgent! They do not need to go together, they just need to go somewhere safe!

Born under trailer, grew up alone, 3 Amigos in Need.

This is one of the three 6 month old lab puppies that have been thrown away, ignored,
and deserted.
They are just needy black dogs, that have been countlessly overlooked, and shrugged
off like they were not important.

The mom to these babies, skinny, desperate & scared crawled under a trailer of
an elderly,
disabled couple and had 5 babies. She took care of the babies
until they were 4 weeks old,
and then left them. The couple was then faced with 5 lab puppies,
who they didn't know
what to do with. They could hardly afford to feed themselves, let
alone 5 dogs.
Unfortunatly, they kept them until they were 5 mths old, feeding
them, but not
giving them the love & proper socialization they needed.

The couple ran ads in the newspaper, called the "humane" society and begged
for them to help them, but were denied. Apparently, they were not good enough
for their shelter. Evil or Very Mad Crying or Very sad

It was too the point that 3 of the puppies had to go. Nobody could take them,
and they were days away from being euthanized.

Project PAws then got a call from a sweet, elderly older man begging for our help.
Though we know placeing these guys would be hard, we had to give them a chance.
They were pleading for their lives, and we came and got them.
They were at first very scared, and unsocialized. But, the foster mom has worked with
them, getting them used to "People stuff" and they are doing wonderful. I got to spend
the day with them yesterday, playing with them, bathing them, and just getting
to know them... there is something about these dogs spirit,

of learning to trust again, their will of going on, that makes me want to fight
to find a safe, rescue or home for them.

The Problem! We need a safe place for them. They are living in an outdoor kennel,
very attached to each other, and in urgent need of a safe home. They are all neutered
, dewormed, all shots, HW NEg, and ready for a home. They are fine with kids,
people, cats, and dogs. They just need a little patience and understanding.

These 3 babies are very attached to each other, and need a friend or family
of their own. They would be great *hiking* buddies, traveling buddies,
and family pets. But they are urgent!

Though these 3 will not be euthanized, they are taknig up a kennel, in which
3 more staving, neglected, terrifed dogs could fill. I got to calls tonight on
dogs in need. One call: 2 terriers who are semi-ferral, so skinny and weak every
bone can be seen from 15 feet away, and another on a little mix dog who is tied
on a chain in the yard,

& the girl can't afford to feed her. These ones are in need, but first we must place
the 3 Amigos. I'm begging you. please crosspost, send to rescues, families..etc.

These puppies are amazing dogs, when you look into their eyes, you see loyalty, trust,
and the very real truth that they have been forgotten about. Nobody wants to adopt
Big Black dogs, yet these 3 are the most loyal animals anyone could ask for.
