UPDATE SAM ADOPTED!SAM'S SAD STORY -URGENT. Breed: Golden Retriever, Chow Chow - Louisa, Ky

SAM ADOPTED!!!!!!!!
Not Allowed in Assisted Living with Owner. He is in danger of being euthed.

" If you could circulate this boy I would appreciate it. This is an urgent situation as his owner's family is talking about euthanizing him if I can't find a place for him to go. He is at a boarding kennel in Louisa where he has been for over 3 mths now and I was just contacted as a last hope. He is a great dog but is not fond of small breed dogs according to the owner's family. LOVES larger dogs though and in fact, spends time with some at the boarder's. Boarder says she hasn't seen anything out of him since he has been with her, not even small dogs. Please spread the word and they can contact me at the info in the write up. Hope everything is ok with you! Kim

SAM - URGENT!!!!!!

Breed: Golden Retriever, Chow Chow
Sex: Male
Age: Adult
Size: Medium

About Me

THIS IS VERY URGENT!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!! SAM IS NOT AT THE HUMANE SOCIETY ANIMAL SHELTER. THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING FOR THE BOARDING FACILITY WHERE HE HAS BEEN OVER 3 MTHS. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SHELTER ABOUT SAM. FOR MORE INFO, CALL KIM PERRY AT (606) 483-2959. Sam is a male Golden Retriever/Chow mix estimated at 6 years of age. Sam has a sad story to tell. He had resided with his owner since he was 6 wks of age. His owner has had to move into an assisted living facility and Sam could not go with her. He has been in a boarding facility for over 3 mths now with attempts to find him a new human to love. His owner is heartbroken and so is Sam. If Sam is not placed soon, he will be euthanized by his owner's family who cannot take him in. As you can imagine, Sam is getting very restless at the boarding facility. He has gone from living in a home to now residing in a kennel. Though he has access to the outside through his guilotine door at the kennel, it still is
not the same as being in a home environment. Sam is a great dog and very well behaved. His only flaw is that he is not overly fond of little dogs. He LOVES bigger dogs but tiny housedogs are not his thing! He spends time at the boarding facility with larger dogs ther e with no issues and while in the care of the boarding facility, he has caused no problems at all. The owner of the facility says he really is a great, well-behaved dog and deserves someone to love him. He would be especially great for an older more settled person or couple. Sam has been neutered, is current on vaccinations and other vetting and he is housetrained. To find out more about Sam, please call Kim Perry at (606) 483-2959 for more info. THIS IS VERY URGENT!!!
