All licensed GA rescues and approved out-of-state rescues are welcome at the shelter. It's one of the most rescue-friendly in the state. But two rescues have made it their primary mission to help Spalding--one helps the dogs and the other helps the cats. Working with the shelter staff, these rescues (and all the other rescues who help the pets at Spalding), their volunteers, and wonderful fosters have succeeded in saving over 90% of the adoptable pets at the shelter during the past year! Please support them in their efforts to keep the save rate high. Winging Cat Rescue works with cats and kittens at Spalding and Saving Georgia Dogs is committed to helping the dogs and puppies. And, of course, the citizens of Spalding County come to the shelter every week to adopt pets and have provided many with secure, loving home
