We are now housing more than 100 cats and kittens in our tiny shelter. There are about 8 more in foster care. We have had to euthanize cats for the first time in 2 + years. We offer assistance with low cost spay/neuter, drive to the ends of the earth to get cats to qualified rescues and work to find sponsorship and medical care for each pet.

Our local vet did not offer the treatment that some of our pets needed in the past and our relationship with their office had become somewhat distant. One of the vet tech's at their office contacted our volunteers about the cats that had been brought to the office for euthanasia. They too were heartbroken that our successful placement of our cats was ending and that lives were lost. We were very, very surprised to hear them say that they wanted to spotlight the plight of the cats at the shelter for their contribution to our county's "Make a Difference Day" on October 25th.

They are offering to neuter 20 male cats and spay up to nine female cats instead of euthanizing them. We are truly out of space at the shelter so these cats and the others that are already sponsored/altered will need to find homes or rescue if this is to save the lives of the unaltered cats in the shelter.

Please consider rescuing or adopting one of our cats today! They will be vetted and fee free to qualified rescues. Adoption fees are reduced for these cats as well!!! We do allow out of state adoptions but the approval process takes a little longer than local adoptions.

If you are local, we are looking for "Make a Difference Day" volunteers to assist with aftercare at the surgery clinic.
