One of the terrified cats at NYC Shelter. I think killing starts at 6 am. If CJ is not rescued CJ may already be dead. No one is exempt. One week old kittens, pampered pets, friendly tail waggers, kissers, terrified dogs. Once they are surrendered to AC their chances are slim. AC finds some reason to kill. They seem to not know what else to do. They have not embraced a low kill philosophy. It might even be a treatable cold or a scared cat described as aggressive. The city of NY has financial problems like everywhere and the animals are suffering. Read more about the infamous Julie Banks that many say is incompetent and about those trying to help save the animals. Please if you live in the NYC area go to any of the shelters and save a life.Brooklyn Center

They will not hold the cat-- they will kill it. The only way they will hold it for 24 hours is if an approved rescue calls that ...See More | |
