"Gorgeous White or yellow Boy at Heard County AC in Georgia TIme Up

He is 50-60 lbs and 1-2 years old. He is a real sweetheart. This shelter euthanized 30 dogs 2 weeks ago, and 11 last week. Is someone interested in helping this nice guy? They are euthanizing again tomorrow. Not sure if he is on the list, but if not he will be extremely shortly. They are getting very strict about the 3 day rule. He would make a great family dog.

Red & Blue URGENT!- Red came in with his brother Blue on 8-18-09. They are closely bonded and love each other very much. They snuggle close when they sleep, are both very mellow and quiet, and seem to be housetrained. They both stay clean in their kennel, and go immediately outside. Please help these 2 brothers find a safe place to call home. They both move really well, no signs of stiffness at all. We are guessing Red to be at least 7 years & Blue 9 yrs or older. Hello All,

We are still way over capacity. Euthanasia is not out of the picture yet. We want to save everyone we can.

Thanks to a very generous donor, both Penny and Carson have been fully sponsored. This means they can be adopted by an approved adopter at no fee or can be pulled by rescue fully vetted with no cost for the vetting.

Both of these dogs are wonderful. They both get along well with others. In fact, Penny just loves to play with cats. These kids have been at our shelter for far too long and will have to be PTS if they are not saved.

Please contact the shelter ASAP. If you can not pull or adopt, please cross post.

August 24, 2009 " He had already been pulled out to be tranquilized when I called the kennel tech." Next he would be euthanized

    From e-mail

"Eyes are the windows to the soul...

Please read G's story below. If you already have, please read it once more. I know that many of you probably said he would not be able to be saved, being a mutt and heart worm positive, too... Well, our prayers were answered and we found a foster home for him in Florida - LAST MINUTE. He had already been pulled out to be tranquilized when I called the kennel tech on her cell phone and said "We have rescue for him!" Please keep in mind that this is only a foster home and these kind people will be spending their own money, trying to save G's heart. The heart worm treatment will cost $390 at the clinic in Florida because his heart worm status is high. We have secured $250 and then of course he will still need shots and be neutered.

If G's story got to you when you first read it but you were unable to help, please help with a few dollars to help the angels in FL who offered to take him in. Even $10 are a lot in rescue situations. You may think that us rescuers ask for money quite a bit, but please realize that, if no money comes in, it usually comes out of our pockets. Everyone of us is pretty much empty handed because we care so much about the animals that our dollars go to them more than to us - you can believe that and many of you understand it because you are in the same situation but you can FORWARD this to others who may be able to help. Please, if you would like to donate, even a small amount, contact me at
newbeginningsanimalrescue@gmail.com or you can PayPal to pbrooks@scad.edu. Thank you so very much. May you be blessed!!!

G, our Heinz 57! (EXTRA URGENT!!!!)

We have little hope for G, because we have done this just long enough to know which dogs end up not making it out and he fits the description of those that are unwanted and end up in a freezer… Still, we try to post for him because we can’t forget his pleading look and we know that his past is unfortunate at best. Animal control was called to pick up G who had been hanging around a neighborhood in the county. The people there simply called him G and I guess they didn’t mind him hanging out until G was attacked by 2 dogs and got the bottom half of his lip ripped open. When I first took him out of his cell I didn’t know that he had been attacked but I could tell that he was very scared and I was careful around him because I didn’t know if he would try to nip or bite. I took him in the field around 2 smaller dogs and he was very, very tense around them. Not knowing that he had been attacked earlier that day, I took him back in his cell and there I noticed the torn lip. He sat there drooling and bleeding and looked like such a sad sight that my heart just started aching for him. I got him a comforter and slowly but surely got him to sit on it. When I started petting him he looked so grateful that I want to cry right now while I’m writing it down, remembering it. I went back the next day to check on him and he recognized me right away. I loved on him again, gave him some ear mite meds and plucked a huge tick of his back. G is skinny, his ribs protruding, he looks no older than 2 or 3 but has probably seen more misery than many older dogs. His coat is dull and course but I can imagine how wonderful he would look with just a little TLC. What struck me as well were his tiny paws. There is so much sadness around this dog… I just pray that someone REALLY want’s to rescue a dog – no matter how many problems he may come with. G sure would deserve it and I know he would be forever thankful to his rescuer…"

    newbeginningsanimalrescue@gmail.com or Jen at jen.ellis88@yahoo.com
The animals in this posting are on Death Row at Liberty County Animal Control, they have a week to find new homes or no kill rescues to save there life. We have personally interacted with each one of these animals. Our descriptions are straight forward! Our conscience would not allow us to hold anything back, and we would never give false information to save an animal, because it would only result in the animal being returned. You will never find vicious/dangerous animals on our listing! Usually, little or none is known about these animals' medical history. We do know that a majority of them were abandoned by military, which means they are most likely up-to-date on there shots, heart worm negative, and generally healthy; however, we cannot guarantee that, which is why each animal must receive prompt veterinary care after adoption/rescue takes place.
Spaying or neutering by 6 months of age is a MUST!!! There is a low cost option for local adopters, just ask about our vouchers! You can also get more detailed information and pricing by visiting SNAC (Spay Neuter Alliance Clinic) at info@snac1.com or by calling 843-645-2500.
Your help with adopting, rescuing,or fostering these animals is immensely appreciated, as is your help with cross posting to others who may be able to help save a life.
    ****************************************************************

    Priscilla, the Hound mix! URGENT!!!!!

Priscilla is sharing her cell with 2 much smaller dogs but though she could easily bully them around she is behaving like a true lady. It’s very cute to see the 3 of them share a large Kuranda bed. She definitely sticks out with that beautiful, squeaky clean white coat and the precious orange spots; especially the one right over her eye. She is very curious of her surroundings and likes to sniff everything out like a true Hound Dog but she also likes to play once her sleuthing has commenced. She enjoys getting human attention and walks nicely on a leash. She appears to only be around a year old.

    ****************************************************************
Darby, the Mountain Cur mix! URGENT!!!!!!!!
Darby is only medium in size and should not grow much bigger. She is young; I assume under a year old and came in with a pretty pink collar on. She is sharing her cell with 2 Black Labrador mixes, which she gets along with great until treats get involved. I don’t know why, but Darby will defend her treats or toys fiercely. Maybe it’s because she is not used to sharing or it’s because she never got any treats or had any toys. Other than that, Darby is precious. She also has another feature I must mention. Darby can jump very high. She likes to jump on the 4 foot wall in her cell and look out into the back field to see what is going on back there. Anyone adopting her would have to have a 6 foot fence to keep her in. Also, I believe she would do great in agility if someone is interested in that.
    *****************************************************************
    Our sweet puppies! URGENT!!!!!!
Please have a look at the sweet, sweet puppies below and let us know as soon as possible if you can help them. People are always shocked when they find out such precious little lives will be killed, but it is a very real fact. These babies will be killed if nobody will save them. We have 2 of the cute little fuzzy black pups, 1 female and 1 males. The female’s name is Bina and the males’ name is Pauly. Further below are pictures of our little Hound mix Jenny and the little Yellow Lab mix Rudy. They are both the blonde puppies. Though it’s miserably hot, they shiver in their tiny puppy cage and so badly want human contact. We took them out last Saturday and played with all of them. They had a wonderful time and now they cry when ever they see us pass their cages. Who can just ignore a babies cries? Not many... Also, these pups have all been here 2 weeks now and have not shown ANY signs of Parvo. Please get them out quickly; please, have a heart and don’t let these babies end up… well, you know where…
    *****************************************************************
    Virgina, the pregnant American Bulldog!
Virgina is a big beautiful, pregnant girl! She is about 4 years old and at a healthy weight she should be around 60 pounds. Her coat is white and she has a few brownish black beauty marks all over her body. Her tail is mostly brown. She screams for attentions, and under the tunnel everything echos, it is the most heartbreaking sound. Virgina does not like other dogs so she would have to be in a one dog home only. When Virgina came in to animal control she would not use the bathroom in her cage so I had to take her out in they yard. This would mean that Virgina is either house broken or crate trained. Please don't overlook this sweetie!

    ***********************************************************************
    Utah! Favorite this week!
Meet my favorite this week, Utah! He is a very kind spirit! When Utah first arrived at ac I frowned because of his appearance. He is a dog missing hair :( . I thought he was just a little puppy about 5 months old but after spending time with Utah, as I do with all the others, I learned about him! Utah is about a year old and although I believe he should be a little bigger he is not, he only weighs about 25 pounds, so I am guessing he is some sort of terrier mix. He looks like a chocolate lab puppy! Utah's appearance breaks my heart. He has been starved probably from the time he was able to eat on his own. I believe his hair missing is a result of malnutrition. His back legs bow in which is a big sign that he has lacked many needed vitamins found in all dog food to promote his healthy growth. He has probably never seen a vet and I can physically count every bone God placed in his body. How is it that this dog is so forgiving to humans! He is an amazing dog and if someone could look past his appearance I promise you will fall in love. Utah will be a beautiful dog once he has proper weight put on his body and he has a full coat of hair! This wonderful boy needs you to save his life, please don't let him die thinking AC was the best he ever had.
    ******************************************************************************
    Lady Jane, the Beagle mix!
Lady Jane has the cutest freckles placed on her nose. When I was a little girl I was told freckles are kisses from angels and if this is true then Lady Jane has been kissed by a lot of angels. I hope those kisses will be enough to save her lifer from ending at animal control. Just look at those eyes, her mouth nose and ears, she is definitely a beagle mix. She has a medium sized body is mostly white. Lady Jane is about year old. She gets along with all other dogs, she seems a little too interested in kitty cats though! Please say you will save Lady Jane from lethal injection!

    ***********************************************************************************
    Alaska, the Husky Mix
What a beautiful girl she is! She has a gorgeous shiny black coat with a cream mask and other body markings! This girl is even more beautiful in person. She is about 5 months old and is a husky mix. She is great with other dogs and cats and loves people, too! Please save her life before its too late!
    **********************************************************************************
    Gema and Gisele!
These two sweet girls look to be pointer mixes but could have some bull breed in them, too! They are so precious, about 12 weeks old please don't overlook them! Gema is the one with the red collar she is the shy one of the two. Gisele is the one I woke up when snapping her picture ;) She has the white blaze coming down her face. She also likes to talk back to you! They LOVE their Kuranda bed and you can see them laying on their backs, stretching out - it's soooo cute. These girls do not have to be adopted together, so if you can give only one a home please speak fast before its too late!
    ***********************************************************************************
    Tennessee, the Corgidor!
We have had in several dogs that look like Tennessee. He has short stubby legs, a long body and the appearance of a black lab. He is about 16 weeks old and screams for attention. He hates being inside his cage. He is a very handsome dog with a shiny black coat and a white chest and is so active with all the other dogs and with kids - he loves running and playing. Someone save his life please! Tennessee will not be a large dog, he will be medium sized!

    ***********************************************************************************
    Montana!
Montana was almost hit and killed on a busy road. Poor little girl was terrified. She is only about 16 weeks and looks to be a Mastiff, Bulldog, Lab mix! She is very pretty and has a docked tail. She gets along well with other dogs and even likes the kitty cats. She is a really sweet girl and her life doesn't need to end here. Please save her!
    ***********************************************************************************
If any of the cats below can be sponsored for there spay/neuter, rabies, and felv/fiv test then they will have a home to go to. Even ten dollars will help and your donation is tax deductible!
    ************************************************************************************
    Toni URGENT!!!!!!
Toni a sweet little girl about 14 weeks old she is on death row with 2 of her litter mates. Please save her life! She is a very pretty little girl. Toni has soft grey and white hair! Save her life!!
    ***********************************************************************************
    Willie URGENT!!!!!!! FAVORITE THIS WEEK
Willie is my favorite cat this week there is something about his excellent disposition! He is about 16-20 weeks old. He was brought in by a lady and her kid and the little girl cried when she left him, only if they say Willie crying now. He loves to be rubbed and he is fine with all other cats and dogs. He needs to be saved you wont regret it!
    ***********************************************************************************
    Veda URGENT!!!!!!!
Veda is a sibling to Toni. She is a little girl herself, 14 weeks old and she is so full of life. She was playing chase with me! She is a tabby brown and white and has a great personality!

    ***********************************************************************************
    Big Ole Bubba Gump URGENT!!!!!!!
His name is Bubba Gump and he is a big I mean huge cat! He has to weight at least 20-25 pounds! Bubba use to belong to someone and I guess he was kept as an outdoor cat. Well you can imagine then that cans of wet food probably didn't come around much, and when his owner gave him a can and then tried to take it away he bit her :( and poor Bubba Gump ended up at Animal Control. This boy looks big and scary but he is quite the lover. If somebody could sponsor him for his neuter, rabies, and felv/fiv test, even if you can only give ten dollars please do so! It will save his life!
    ****************************************************************************************

    Taylor URGENT!!!!!!!

Taylor came into animal control in a trap. How could anyone want to trap such a precious boy. Look at his pretty spots and stripes. He is about 2 years old and such a lover. It is very apparent Taylor has lived in a home before. He is good with other cats and doesn't even mind dogs! I have never heard him hiss! He is a little cautious at first when meeting someone new but once he realizes that your not there to hurt him he is just fine. HE curves his body into your hand, basically forcing you to pet him!

    *****************************************************************************************

    Cooper! URGENT!!!!!!!

Copper is the brother to Veda and Toni. He is 14 weeks himself and he is the curious little boy! He loves exploring new things and discovering what will happen when he does something! He is precious! Look at his pretty markings tabby and white!

    *****************************************************************************************
    Spice Cake URGENT!!!!!!
I let Spice Cake out of his cage to exercise his legs a little bit and he walked around as if he was thinking hard about something. He is probably wondering why he is at a kill facility. What did he do to deserve being here. Spice Cake is about 16 weeks old and he is one sweet kitten. Please someone save his life!

    ******************************************************************************************
    Caleb URGENT!!!!!!
All of Caleb's litter mates have been adopted and he is the last one here. I fear for his life. He is a sweet boy he loves a good rub on his head and down his back. He is about 14 weeks old and he needs you to save him before its too late!

    ******************************************************************************************

    Maxim

Maxim came into animal control because a lady called and said he was trying to get into her house. This poor baby probably wanted a little bit to eat or to be rubbed. Look at him, when I opened his cage he did nothing but paw at the air because he wanted so desperately to be rubbed. He loves attention and his head being rubbed.

    *****************************************************************************************

    Momma Cali and her babies

This girl just showed up at somebodies house with all of her babies. We all found it funny because the momma and all her babies don't have a spec of dirt on them. They were not outside long. This is a very pretty family of cats. The two orange tabbies are boys and the black and whites are girls along with the other little calico. Momma is about 1 year old and the babies are about 4-5weeks. They will still need to be with mom for a few more weeks. Is there anyone out there that will foster her and help place her babies? Please don't let them die!

    ******************************************************************************************

    Monet

Monet is a beautiful female tuxedo. I am always so sad to see cats come into animal control because I know there chances of making it out alive are slim, when I see black or brown tabbies its breaks my heart even more. Please don't over look Monet. She is one sweet cat and her life doesn't deserve to end here. She was trapped as more cats are. Monet needs a good home or someone to say they will sponsor her!

    *****************************************************************************************
Each week we go to Animal Control and each week there are new animals in desperate need of adoption or rescues to save there life because they only get until the following week before they are killed to make room for the next bunch to come in. It would break your heart after interacting with each of these precious lives to go back the following week and you ask about them only to find out that they were killed. We need good people to come forward and open their homes to one of these desperate little ones. If you can help in any way such as to transport, or to get the word out further or to contact people, then we can make this effort work and together WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
