6/24/10 Great Dane Lovers -Great Danes and Other Dogs at Pooler/ Savannah Rescue Need Help.

 From e-mail

Below is a plea from a wonderful Pooler/Savannah rescue.  I know Pam Hunt, the founder, personally.  Her and her husband have a huge heart for animals.  They love them all but are especially passionate about Great Danes.  They help when ever and where ever they can but many of the dogs they have taken in lately have come up high heart worm positive.  As all of us know, even ONE heart worm positive dog can drain ones pocket book; therefore, if you can help Pam's rescue in any way with financial donations, please do!!!  Donations can be made directly to Pam's vet's offices (see below) or her PayPal account at greighwolf1@yahoo.com.

Below are beautiful pictures and descriptions of the dogs in need.  Also, please don't hesitate to contact Pam if you are interested in adopting either of them.

THANK YOU!!!
Petra

Mick is a 1.5 - 2 yr old red Dachshund.  He is high heartworm positive and must go throug staged imiticide injections.  He is current on shots and will be neutered on 6/21/10.  He is learning his house manners and coming along as expected.  He is a very sweet and loving boy that loves attention and to give kisses.  He gets along great with other dogs, cats, and kids.  For more information contact Pam at 912-856-0831.

Sampson is a two year old fawn Great Dane with cropped ears.  He is also high heartworm positive and needs to undergo staged imiticide injections.  He is current on shots, neutered, and house broken.  He is definitely an alpha dog and would do best in a home without other dogs or cats.  He will make a great addition to any Dane experienced family.  Contact Pam for more information at 912-856-0831.

Sadie is a 3 yr old Blue Merle mixed Great Dane with natural ears.  She is current on shots and house broken.  Sadie is currently under treatment for heart worms, she has had the first of three imiticide injections for staged treatment, and will be spayed following that treatment.  She is a very very sweet and loving girl that gets along with other dogs and loves kids.  She would do great in any home.  She is a mix so she is not as large as a full Dane but she still weighs in at around 90 lbs.  For more information on Sadie please contact Pam at 912-856-0831.
Blew is a three year old blue mantle Great Dane.  He has been neutered, is current on his shots, and house broken. He is high heartworm positive and must undergo staged imiticide injections.  Blew gets along with other dogs, he prefers ones smaller than him as the ones his size seem to scare him.  He does not like cats so needs to be in a home without cats.  He is a wonderful boy in search of his forever home. For more information contact Pam at 912-856-0831.

Meet Goose.  He was found by a good Samaritan and turned into our rescue.  Fortunately for Goose that we took him in.  He was very sick when we took him into rescue.  He was diagnosed with Parvo but despite that he has come out with a clean bill of health.  We have over $1000 in him to make him well, donations will be greatly appreciated.  He is now a healthy and happy puppy.  He has a lot of energy and will need room to run and play.  An active family would be ideal for Goose.  He is current on shots, and neutered.  For more information on Goose please contact Pam at 912-856-0831.

Titus is a 1.5 yr old Merle/Mantle Great Dane with natural ears.  He is current on shots, neutered, and house broken.  Titus is one of several high heartworm positive dogs in our program that must endure 3 imiticide injections.  Titus gets along wonderful with children and other dogs.  He is an awesome boy that deserves a home to call his own.  For more information please contact Pam at 912-856-0831.
