The Heartstick Method. How can anyone kill an animal in this way?

There is no excuse for this. NONE! It is animal abuse especially if done with no sedation. Write your state reps and congressmen. Demand they be concerned about sanctioned cruelty to animals.

The "heartstick" or intracardiac injection is considere inhumane unless the animal is completely unconscious or anesthetized. Otherwise, it's painful and CRUEL. The Tennessee doc who was captured on video doing these sticks on shelter animals (Dr. Berber) should have earned himself a one-way trip out of our profession.
