9/11/11 Project Paws Animal Rescue is a Very Small, All Volunteer, Rescue with 3 Foster Homes, in Rural SW North Carolina Needs Rescues & Adopters

Animal Abandonment and Neglect – Project Paws Foster Homes are FULL of Foster Animals.

Project Paws Animal Rescue is a very small, all volunteer, rescue with three foster homes, in rural SW North Carolina.

We received a call over a month ago from a concerned neighbor about three dogs that had been left behind (abandonded) at a trashed out trailer in our county and were straving – no food and no water.

We have been feeding and provding water for them since we were notified of the case.

Long story short – we had to get the Sherriff’s department involved and they located the "owners" and convinced them to surrender all three dogs to our small animal rescue group...but only after we were threatened with tresspassing charges..ughh

We are however in a very much ‘overloaded foster capacity' at this time and are looking for great fur-ever homes or another rescue that may have space for each of these precious dogs.

Our biggest problem right now is that we have two of these rescued dogs [Besenji Mix (Candy), and Boxer (Buddy)] at a foster home that has 9 foster cats, and four foster dogs. One of the senior fosters she has requires daily medical treatments and very time consuming care, also the foster mom has a dairy cow she just got back from the University of TN Vet Clinic – she is very sick and also requires round the clock meds and special care…our Foster Mom is awesome..but we feel Candy and Buddy would do better with a family that has more time to spend with them.

Our other foster mom - has the Pitty [Ceaser] and four foster puppies and a very sick Macaw...the third foster home (mine) has a mom and ten puppies, five of my own dogs, one blind senior...okay I guess you get the idea..we are over run with fosters and required medical situations.

We WANT THE BEST for these Dogs..which includes much love and more attention then we can currently provide.

I can personally give my word that all three of these dogs are friendly...they are very SWEET...they are just thankful to be fed and getting water finally!

We would be very pleased, blessed, relieved, and greatful if another rescue with a more appropriate foster homes would help these precious dogs and our rescue. All three are friendly, will be all be 'fixed' at our expense by 09/12/11 and have been de-wormed and received booster shots.

We are more than willing to transport.
