Project Paws N.C. & Sweetie. Happy Update

The day i picked up sweetie; was the day i had almost 100% lost my faith in people. Though i'm only 17, i've seen alot of sad things people have done. Sweetie was severly underweight to the point where she fell down the stairs of the house she called shelter. Her coat was dirty & dull; her spirit was broken; and that evening she was going to be shot in the head.

Project paws was extremely new, and had NO $, to pay for even her basic medical care. I pleaded with fellow rescuers to help out; and you all came through and showed me the good in people!

Sweetie gained 5 pounds in less than 2 weeks. She learned what the "good life" is. As we speak; she is sleeping on my bed. All of her medical care was completed; and thanks to a recent donor she has a little extra money in her name for her vet visit next tuesday. (She needs x-rays on her fused leg, a dental, and to see why she is itchy, (she doesn't have fleas) )

Sweetie is Project Paws Mascot. She has gotten so attached to me, that i am the center of her life, and she is the center of mine. She goes everywhere with me, except school and while i'm at school; she is alseep on my bed. Sweetie has overcome near death by starvation, being shot in the head, and with all she has been through still loves and is such a gentle kind dog.

She welcomes each new foster like he/she is her best friend. She understands why they are here, and protects them, loves them, and shows them the ropes. She is honestly amazing and has taught many fearful, abused dogs not to fear.

Sweetie was once in the position of an abused, abandoned dog with no hope;

Thanks to you all she is helping others; Sweetie is doing wonderful, and its because of kind people like you. She loves playing with the other dogs, and watching over the newcommers.

Project Paws has only been operating since June. In 4 mths & with 7 foster homes; we have put over 100 animals through our rescue. They go out spayed or neutered, have all shots, and loved, and usually kennel trained, have some level of obedience, social skills, and a 100% policy of a safe place if the animal is ever in need again! We are not perfect, but we are trying!
We could NOT do this without your help and donations to help with the animals food, vetting, and housing. Donations are always appreciated, and very needed.

THANK YOU All for your kind hearts, and giving sweetie and countless others a 2nd chance.
