Frankie- Young Male- Wirehaired Terrier, Labrador Retriever Mixed

Date posted: 5/13/2008

Frankie was a former resident during the crisis last year and has been in foster care for almost a year.....this is what her foster mom says.

"Frankie is about 2 years old...neutered. ..current on all shots...loveable, sweet want to be Alpha dog, gets along with all of my dogs but Tripod MY ALPHA dog! So a little worried about other males dogs, Frankie does just fine with Poncho my male bulldog! Frankie used to be food aggressive but I think he is over that! He does fine around my 4 cats, just ignores them and never messed with the bearded dragon that roams freely around the house! Frankie is the sweetest thing, wants to be a lap dog, loves attention, love to play ball! I am a little worried that he was beat by a man, because he has gotten "weird" in the past if Don moved his arms quickly...it is like Frankie is afraid he is going to be hit and gets defensive... just FYI!"

WV law MANDATES that all dogs/cats adopted from a shelter MUST be spayed/neutered! Dogs need DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccinations. After deworming, to keep your dog worm, flea and tick free, discuss using Frontline Plus and Interceptor with your vet. Don't forget to get a Heartworm/Lyme/ Ehrlichia test if you adopt a dog! If left untreated, heartworms WILL kill your dog. Heartworms are transmitted via mosquitoes.
