This angelic baby has been brought to animal control by her owner. I can't imagine why on earth anyone wouldn't give an arm and a leg to keep this treasure! She is an amazing dog with a beautiful blue eye, as you can see. She weighs only 43 pounds and is pretty much full-grown. Although her eyes shine with happiness and delight when getting love and attention from people, if you raise your hand above her head as I did a few times because I was brushing her today, she draws back as if she's seen that movement before and not had good memories of it. :-( Speaking of brushing, she relished and loved the short brushing I gave her today! She wanted to snuggle right up with me, and my thanks was a very sweet, delicate kiss on the cheek. :) Macy May walks well on a leash and is a beautiful dog, inside and out. Her previous owner stated that she's good with kids and other dogs. So far in her life, she's lived mostly outside, however, she would be an excellent indoor girl too! She is such a friendly, amazing canine, but unfortunately, her visit here could have a devastating result unless someone moves FAST and comes in to save her! The shelter is almost completely full, and since Macy is an owner surrender, she is going to be one of the first to be euthanized if the officers have to make room for more. Hurry! Any day...any moment could be her last! And what a sad loss to the world if this little gem doesn't find a family to love.
