We only have very little time, often days, to find them new homes or no kill rescues to save their lives. We have personally interacted with each one of these animals. Our descriptions are straight forward! Our conscience would not allow us to hold anything back, and we would never give false information to save an animal, because it would only result in the animal being returned. You will never find vicious/dangerous animals on our listing! Usually, little or none is known about these animals' medical history. Thanks to micro chips, we do know that many of them are abandoned by military, which means they are most likely up-to-date on there shots ,heart worm negative, and generally healthy; however, we cannot guarantee that, which is why each animal must receive prompt veterinary care after adoption/rescue takes place. Spaying or neutering is a MUST!!! This does not apply to rescue; however local adopters MUST purchase a spay/neuter voucher from us, as well as a micro chip and Rabies shot. Spay vouchers are $75 (dogs), $60 (cats) and neuter vouchers are $65 (dogs), $50 (cats). The cost for the micro chip and Rabies shot is $10 each. (If an adopter chooses to use his/her own vet for the spay/neuter, we will gladly reimburse the voucher amount upon proof from the vet’s office.) Your help with adopting, rescuing, or fostering these animals is immensely appreciated, as is your help with cross posting to others who may be able to help save a life. ******************************************* Max 803-2988 and Ruby 803-2989 Max and Ruby are the sweetest looking siblings. From what we can tell, they appear to be Bulldog mixes with Catahoula mixed in. They are only 6-8 weeks old and need to be de-wormed, as their poor little bellies are so bloated looking! They are awfully sweet, super cuddly and so soft! To tell them apart is easy; Max has blue eyes and a cute speckled nose while Ruby has brown eyes and a shiny black button nose. Their release date is the 10th of December. LA 805-684 LA is a Lhasa Apso with long, black, curly hair. He seriously needs to go see a groomer! His hair is all matted and tangled but we can already imagine how gorgeous he COULD be if given the TLC. He cries pitifully in his cage and begs to come out to play. He is very sweet and likes dogs, cats and kids!!! He is approximately 1-2 years old and his release date is tomorrow! Dolly 803-2985 Dolly is a beautiful blonde but she’s not a stuck up princess at al In fact, she is a very submissive, young girl. She is also very sweet and passed her tug and pull test. She was just a little nervous about strangers tugging and pulling on her. She appears to be mixed with Yellow Labrador and Shepherd. She’s gorgeous with her blonde eye lashes and darker ears. Thor 804-4399 Thor is full of energy and needs an active owner. He is a beefy looking PBT and when he plays he bites and nibbles; however, it is in a playful , non-aggressive way. Due to this, he needs a home wit h older children or no children. He knows how to jump really high when he's in play mode and is a very fast runner. If he makes it out of Animal Control, his adopter should have a fenced in yard. Though Thor likes other dogs, he is BIG on marking his territory and therefore will need to be neutered ASAP. He weighs about 60 lbs. and passed our tug and pull test. Ollie – 805-681 We are not sure what breeds Ollie is comprised of but I’m thinking he could have some Border Collie in his family tree. One thing we are sure of is that he is not fond of leashes. Poor boy, he’s probably never had a loving owner take him for walks… If Ollie gets rescued and goes to a home with other dogs , they should have low to medium energy levels. We peg Ollie at about 1 year and we have noticed that he prefers people over other dogs. He was housed with another dog and there were no problems, outside of a little food aggression from time to time. Ollie has passed our pull and tug test. Sleepy is a beautiful Black Labrador puppy, about 3 months old. Sleepy earned her name, as her favorite thing to do is sleep! She is an absolute sweetie pie! We are praying that there is someone out there wishing for a Black Labrador puppy for Christmas and forever… ADOPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE FOLLOWING DOGS ARE BEYOND URGENT. THEY HAVE SURVIVED BECAUSE ROOM HAS BEEN MADE THROUGH ADOPTIONS AND EUTHANASIA! WE TRULY DON'T WANT TO LET THEM GO... 804-4391 Faith, the lab mix. (FAITH'S SPAY, RABIES SHOT AND MICRO CHIP ARE SPONSORED!!!) Faith is around 9 mo olds and weighs roughly 35-40lbs . She was a stray that got picked up but, as you can see by her once pretty, pink collar, she belonged to a family at one point. We think her former family may have had kids and cats because she is very friendly with them, as well as other dogs. She passed her tug and pull test. J She is also a very playful girl, not to mention how pretty she is. Her hold time is up. ******************************************* 802-4560 – Mischa, the Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix. Mischa is still a puppy, only about 6-9 months old. She has a very sweet personality! She is very playful with high energy. Mischa is good with kids and other dogs but has not been cat tested yet. Poor thing is a little on the skinny side and still has lots of growing to do, but first she will have to be saved from the clutches of AnimaL Control. Mischa’s release date is 11-26-09. ******************************************* 804-4397 – Sissy, the Yellow Labrador mix. (SISSY'S SPAY, RABIES SHOT AND MICRO CHIP ARE SPONSORED!!!) Sissy is such a cute girl. She is all blonde with very large, amber eyes that plead with the onlooker. Sissy is only about 7 months old and already sentenced to death. She has no idea because when she’s taken out onto the exercise field she has a blast . She is high energy and playful, as a puppy should be. She likes other dogs and kids and has not been cat tested yet. Her release date is 11-21-09. ******************************************* U – The Jack Russell Terrier. U is a female Jack Russell Terrier Mix, about 1.5 years old. She was dumped at a storage place and it took the officers ten days to finally catch her. She was a little nippy but is no longer. She loves rough play and is a little bit of a Tom Boy. Her name is U because s he was dumped at a U-Haul place. She once had on a collar; you can tell where it was from the impressions in her neck hair… ******************************************* 806-971 – Leylani, the Cur Dog. (LEYLANI'S SPAY, RABIES SHOT AND MICRO CHIP ARE SPONSORED!!!) Leylani is very pretty! She is brindle and only about 4-6 months old. She is a love bug and very sweet! She really wants some love! Just look at the picture… Leylani is good with other dogs and kids but has not been cat tested yet. She loves to play and has plenty of energy due to her puppy age. Her fur is typical for a cur dog – very, very soft like plush velvet. Her release date is 11-25-09. ******************************************* Bear, the Shepherd mix. (Senior) BEAR'S NEUTER, RABIES SHOT AND MICRO CHIP ARE SPONSORED!!!!!!!!!!! Bear is an older guy, which already means his chances of making it out are slim. He has been running around Hinesville for a few months now. He is flea infested and probably heartworm positive… He also came in as a fear bitter. As he is getting used to the staff at Animal Control and the volunteers, he is coming out of his shell and runs to the front of the gate when he sees you and howls when you walk away. He needs someone to show him there is kindness left in some people unlike the jerks that dumped him. We realize that the odds are against him but we know that sometimes there are kind people out there who really want to make a difference and this would be a great chance to do so. ******************************************* Mellow, the pure-bred Walker Hound. MELLOW IS IN FOSTER CARE BUT NEEDS A FOREVER HOME DESPERATELY!!! Did I hear you say “AWE!!!!!!?????" Yes, I would have to agree. Mellow is most adorable. He is only about 9 months old and currently weighs about 35-40 pounds. We are not sure if he was a hunting dog because he is not nearly as skittish as some of the other ones we see come in. Mellow will roll right over on his back for you to scratch his belly. He is a very sweet boy and so deserves a wonderful home.
