Why Choose Me?

Oh poor Jefferson. This boy has not had an easy time lately. This unfortunate soul was hit by a car yesterday, leaving him cut up and very stiff. He also has an eye infection as well as some mange. The vet will be out to check on his mange and treatment can begin for him as soon as possible. His eyes will clear up really well with some drops from the vet, and he is walking fine (though slowly) so it seems the car didn’t get him too bad. He is also a bit underweight for his size, and could gain a few pounds. For everything going against him, Jefferson is a sweet, loving boy who just dotes on human attention- never demanding but always appreciative of any pet or sweet word that comes his way. Jefferson has wonderful manners and has such a kind look to his eyes, his story is just heartbreaking. However all of his owies can be treated and cured by a trip to the vet, some meds, and a whole lot of TLC. He is still very young and has many great years ahead of him- if he makes it out of here. Oftentimes you’ll hear people say that rescued dogs seem to “know” that you’ve given them a second chance- and this couldn’t be any truer than for sweet Jefferson. Imagine the bond that will be forged between Jefferson and his new owner, who will have saved him from such a sad state. If you have room in your heart and home for a sad- but wonderful- guy, please give Jefferson a chance at a new beginning."
