March 18, 2009 Hunting Season Is Over. The Annual Dog Dumping at Over Crowded Pounds Begins. Ky

Good Morning All,
Of course, we knew it was coming. Hunting season is over and the discarded Beagles and Hounds are at the shelter. These guys and gals gave several months of hard work for their owners and now that they can't do anymore, they are sent off to a place where death is not out of the cards.
Please look at the faces below and read their stories.
Beagle Picture Miss March
"For a beagle to be this gorgeous, we could only name her Miss March. This sweet girl came in to the shelter as a stray and no one has called for her. This is not suprising as we always fill up on beagles after the hunting season.

Miss March is a little over weight but seems very healthy. She is loving and sweet and really needs a home to treat her like the beauty queen she is. Please give this girl a chance to charm her way into your heart."
Beagle Picture Sky
"Sky came to our shelter as a stray. He is a very handsome boy and extremely loving. Sky loves to get out for his walks and his people time.

Sky will be available for adoption or rescue on 3/21. If you are interested in this boy, don't delay. Get your adoption application on him today. He is already waiting for a family to love him and he looks forward to going home on Saturday."
Foxhound Picture Sue Ellen
"Sue Ellen may be a Walker Coonhound except that she is quite small. She is also very thin. She came to the shelter with her 6 puppies. They had taken a toll on Sue Ellens young body. She is now picking up weight and rady for a new home. She is not very lound but definitly a hound. She loves to smell everything. Sue Ellen is also very affectionate. She loves to sit on your feet. I think she just does not want kind people to leave her. Please give her a home of security and love."
