In addition to the usual heartworm treatments, dentals, etc. we recently did a leg amputation to cure a 7 year-old golden with hemangiosarcoma (he is cancer-free now and has been adopted) . . . yesterday we took in a little bichon mix from animal control that was so filthy, wet, and severely matted I didn't actually notice the dehydration, anemia, and pettechiae until after she was shaved . . . looks like she probably has IMHA, which has a very poor prognosis, of course, and is expensive as heck to treat too . . . sigh. I don't know if that poor girl is going to make it, but I can't say I regret pulling her off the wet cement floor where she was laying all urine-soaked and miserable, regardless of the outcome today.
Anyway, we've also got this plucky, little Persian, Skelator, who we've set up a fundable for, as he's come a very long way towards rehabilitation but now looks to probably need a trip to the animal eye specialist to fix his scarred-up, infected eye (treatment from the regular vet just hasn't been cutting it . . . ) I know everybody on this board gets bajillions of requests for help every day, and I really wouldn't be here posting this if I hadn't run out of alternatives. So I'm hoping maybe just one person will be able and willing to make a contribution. Pretty please
Rusty the golden, pre-amputation
Poor, little IMHA dog . . . if you are the praying type, please pray for her . . .
Skelator upon arrival . . . he weighed four pounds (has since DOUBLED that! Go Skelator, go!)
Skelator's first bath. Did I mention that the fleas made him just a little anemic? The scary thing is that this was the second rinse.

Okay, Anyway, if anyone is able to help or has some ideas on funding, we would really appreciate it. Thanks . . .
