LIBERTY COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL – HINESVILLE, GEORGIA

If you would like to adopt one of the animals below, please contact

Jen at nipponia_gurl@yahoo.com

I have personally interacted with each one of these animals. My descriptions are straight forward! My conscience would not allow me to hold anything back, and I would never give false information to save an animal, because it would only result in it being returned. You will never find vicious/dangerous animals on my listings! Usually, little or none is known about these dogs' medical history. We do know that a majority of them were abandoned by military, which means they are most likely up-to-date on their shots, heartworm negative, and generally healthy; however, we cannot guarantee that, which is why each dog must receive prompt veterinary care after adoption/rescue takes place.

Spaying or neutering by 6 months of age is a MUST!!! There is a low cost option for local adopters, just ask about our vouchers! You can also get more detailed information and pricing by visiting SNAC (Spay/Neuter Alliance Clinic) at info@snac1.com or by calling

843-645-2500.

Your help with adopting, rescuing, or fostering these animals is immensely appreciated, as is your help with cross posting to others who may be able to help save a life.

Pooga the Black Labrador Beauty!

Pooga sits and looks out of his metal cage door waiting for someone to come and save him. He was brought into animal control on Saturday and since then has sat by the door and cried. He really breaks my heart. Pooga is such a sweet boy, he is about a year old and a big boy for a black lab, but I do think he is pure breed black lab. He needs a good home.

Sonic the Rhodesian Ridge Back Mix

Sonic actually looks to be a little Great Dane, Rhodesian Ridge Back and Lab mix. He is only about 2 years old and is a very well mannered boy. He walks with out a leash and is great with other dogs. He came in with Puggie the pug at top of the posting. Sonic loves for his neck to be rubbed. He is quite tall but very slender. All the noises and smells scare Sonic, he is a big baby and deserves to be given a second chance at life.

RIP No one came for him, He was euthed

Cleveland, the Bulldog/Rotty Mix!

Cleveland is a big boy and he doesn’t look as if he is finished growing just yet! Cleveland came into a high kill facility after being seen around a neighborhood loose for a few weeks. He is probably another victim of his family moving away and leaving the animal behind. I had an adoption event the day Cleveland came in and took him out for people to see him as well.. He was around little kids and he was fine with them. He only jumped up on them begging for attention and of course with his size and there balance they got knocked over. While he was out we were also debating what he could be and with his body and coloring we think American bulldog and with his head and especially his profile we think rotty. Cleveland is about 60-70 pounds right now. Cleveland is okay with other dogs, but is an alpha male! Please save his life! The pictures do no justice for him!

Amy the Chihuahua

Amy is a small dog, and I know that’s enough say to get her life saved. She is a sweet girl about a year old. She was found and almost killed by a car. She is a gorgeous little girl and she needs a good home! Please save her life!

Marlin the Spaniel Mix

Marlin was found in a neighborhood running stray, why didn’t his owners come looking for him? He is a precious soul, so confused as to why he is here with all these other dogs. He has the head of a cocker spaniel but the body of a black lab. He is a very cute dog. Marlin is good with other dogs and does not seem to mind cats; he is only about 8 months old. Just look at his smile, how could you say no to that?

RIP Sweet Boy. No one came for him. He was Euthed

Save Ramsey, the Rhodesian mix!

Heartworm PositiveL. Ramsey has a super sweet personality and is only medium in size, I guess that’s what caught the eye of the no kill shelter, but when he tested positive for heartworms he was place backed on death row. He is a bit skinny and could definitely stand to gain a few pounds. Though it seems that food is not the first item on his agenda; I believe that would be petting first, kissing second, hugging third, and maybe food somewhere down the line. Ramsey has a gorgeous fawn colored coat with no hair-loss, scars or scabs. His eyes are like warm amber glinting in the sunlight. He appears to be a young dog between 1 and 2 years old. Ramsey is good with other dogs and great with kids. He never once jumped up on my little boy! Please don’t sentence him to death because he is heartworm positive.

Zeppelin, the American Bulldog/ Lab Mix

Meet Zeppelin ! He is a beautiful dog about a year old and GREAT with other dogs and kids. He is the biggest lap dog around. While he was at the adoptathon he was very insistent on sitting on the chairs we had out there whether someone was in it or not. He loves attention and has a docked tail. He is a very handsome boy isn’t he? He does have a soar on he his ear and neck, and we think another dog may have tried to fight him but this guy wouldn’t fight back.

Chanel, the sweet Black Lab!

Chanel has the best personality. She is super sweet and just wants to sit in your lap to be loved on. She is good with other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind cats. She is about a year old and doesn’t deserve to be sentenced to death. Please save her life, you won’t regret giving her a chance just look at the pictures or better yet, come by and meet this sweet litte black beauty.

Henry, the Dobbie/Hound!

HEART WORM NEGATIVE!!! This week seems to be the week for black and tan dogs and Henry looks like he could be the father to Zaden and Chanel, but I really hope none of them are overlooked especially this sweet guy. Henry is about 4 years old and is a larger dog with a very gentle spirit. He came in with a collar with a tag on it but half of the information is missing. He is such a sweet boy. He is good with other dogs and was PERFECT with my little boy. When I let Henry in the yard, all he did was follow my little boy around. It was as if there was an invisible leash around his neck. He never once pushed him down. There were some other dogs on the other side of the fence that did not sound so nice and Henry tried to keep my baby from going over in that direction. He is such a sweet boy and already has a hold on my heart. I know he has done nothing wrong to deserve this life. He doesn’t deserve to be killed, PLEASE someone say you will save him.

Jermaine the Lab Mix

Jermaine is about 6 months old and has a very pretty shiny coat. He has the cutest ears that will stand straight up on his head. He loves to run and play with all other dogs. Jermaine doesn’t comprehend what he did to end up on death row. Putting him in his cage after playing with him in the field broke my heart. He clung to me as if to say please don’t leave me by my self, I am scared! Someone please save this boy!

Strawberry, the Chocolate Lab Mix

I fell in love with this girl today she is such a sweet heart. I don’t understand why her owners never came looking for her. At the adoptathon, I was really hoping that she would get a home, but it just did not happen. She is a beautiful girl and looks primarily chocolate lab wit a pretty pink nose. She is about 2 years old. She was great with my two year old. She knows how to sit, lay, and roll over, obviously she had to be someone’s dog before. Strawberry is good with other dogs, she also does this funny thing, when you scratch her belly while she is standing she lifts her hind leg in the air. Please save Strawberries life!

RIP . No One Came Came for Him.

Albus, the PBT!

Albus is very, very scared but a good boy. Who ever had him did not treat him the way he should have been treated or he would not cower the way he does. It's a sad sight to see such a strong animal act like this. Albus seems to be around 3-4 years old and has a dark brindle coat and, as you can see, a big block head. We would only allow someone to adopt Albus who has no problems with home visits and who understands the PBT breed. Please let Albus experience a better life before he has to leave this world not having had anything good to remember.

Charlie, the Chi mix!

When tiny Charlie first came to Animal Control we thought he had a broken leg but apparently it was just bruised because he has started coming out of his shell and jumping around as if he has no worries in life. It always strikes me sad to think that some of the animals who come in have had it better at this kill facility than where they lived before. :-( Little Charlie is a cute sight to behold and would be wonderful for any family looking to safe a tiny life.

Tanner, the GSD mix!

Tanner is a very handsome looking boy. When you first look at his picture you would think that he is a pure-bred GSD; however, Tanner is only MEDIUM in size! Other than that, he has the markings and the body shape that GSD lovers all over the world recognize right away. Tanner is a good boy and is well socialized. He appears to only be around 1-2 years old but sadly has come up mild to medium heart worm positive. This is NOT a reason to shy away from him. As long as Tanner is placed on heart worm preventative immediately, he should be fine within a year, and of course he should remain on the preventative for the rest of his life - as should ALL dogs. Please give this precious boy a chance to show what a wonderful companion he would be.
