January 2, 2009 South Carolina Rescue is Helping Two German Shepherds in Alabama

Max's Foot
Lady

Max

We were contacted by a good samaritan that wanted to make us aware of Max & Lady. The beautiful german shepherds above live in Alabama. Max on the left got his rear paw caught in a trap that is used to catch raccoons or some other critters. The owner tried to treat the dog himself but the paw just got worse and he was forced to find a vet because his dog was in so much pain. We are all having hard times and this gentleman is no different. He cannot afford the cost of taking care of this injury. He loves his dogs which is very apparent to everyone involved. When we looked into helping Max, we also realized he has another beautiful dog named Lady (on the right) has shaken her head so much from ear mites she now has a hematoma in her ear that needs to be taken care of.
If we don’t help the dogs, Max will lose his leg and possibly his life and Lady will lose her hearing.
We all realize, it is not about having the most money but about having love for your animals and being able to take care of their basic needs which this man was able to do until recently. He has offered to do a lot of odd jobs for people in the area to get this done but we are not in Alabama and have decided to take care of the dogs. Once we get the two injured dogs taken care of and get them up to date on all vaccinations, he has assured us he will keep it all up. We believe he is a good dog owner that loves his dogs as much as we do ours and will do what he says.
Please, help us help them by donating.
