Pike Pet Pals, in collaboration with Rescue Me Ohio, wish to raise funds to replace the dog kennel walls at the Pike County Dog Pound. The walls are in ill repair and can be dangerous for the dogs and puppies housed at the dog runs. The current walls are made of metal. They are corroded and rusted. It has become very difficult to properly clean and disinfect the kennels. The track holding the walls collects dirt, food and feces. The opening in the track is big enough to allow the foot of a small dog or puppy to slip into and cause injury. Some of the kennel walls have holes big enough for a dog to crawl through. We want to replace the walls so it will be easier to sanitize and safer for the dogs. We would like to replace the current ceiling tiles. They have become damaged in the last year due to heavy windstorms in our area. Ceiling tiles have fallen down into the kennel area where dogs are housed. Please help us achieve our goal for this replacement project. Checks can be mailed to Pike Pet Pals Inc., PO Box 1239, Waverly OH 45690. Please mark your donation as “replacement project”.
