It's been really great going through your blog post, very well informed and described. Great to read and know more about such kind of stuff.

I so wish all animal shelters could be ran that way. Most shelters are very depressing for people to just walk through. I can only imagine how it is for the animals that have to live there... Something really needs to be done to up the standards of all animal shelters. They have really set the bar, and it's time other shelters follow in their footsteps.

Animal Rescue,
It is heartening to see shelters that make the lives of the animals in their care as best as they can be and work toward getting cats and dogs adopted while educating the public about responsible pet ownership and care. As many "bad" shelters as there are there are many "good" ones and they all can turn around when people care. Los Angeles Animal Services hired a new manager Brenda Barnett whose philosophy is just that. She is changing the shelters in that city to be inviting for adopters and places of safety for the cats and dogs. Google her and see all the wonderful programs she has initiated.
