LIBERTY COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL, HINESVILLE, GEORGIA

DEATH ROW ANIMAL

EUTHANASIA DATE: January 14th, 8 AM!

If you would like to adopt, please contact

Petra at newbeginningsanimalrescue@gmail.com

The dog on this posting is on Death Row at Liberty County Animal Control. We only have very little time, often days, to find new homes or no kill rescues. We have personally interacted with this dog. Our descriptions are straight forward! Our conscience would not allow us to hold anything back, and we would never give false information to save an animal, because it would only result in the animal being returned. You will never find vicious/dangerous animals on our listing! Usually, little or none is known about these animals' medical history. Thanks to micro chips, we do know that many of them are abandoned by military, which means they are most likely up-to-date on their shots, heart worm negative, and generally healthy; however, we cannot guarantee that, which is why each animal must receive prompt veterinary care after adoption takes place.

Spaying or neutering is a MUST!!! The following does not apply to rescues; however local adopters MUST purchase a spay/neuter voucher from us, as well as a micro chip and Rabies shot. Spay vouchers are $75 (dogs), $60 (cats) and neuter vouchers are $65 (dogs), $50 (cats). The cost for the micro chip and Rabies shot is $10 each. (If an adopter chooses to use his/her own vet for the spay/neuter, we will gladly reimburse the voucher amount upon proof from the vet’s office.)

Your help with adopting, rescuing, or fostering is immensely appreciated, as is your help with cross posting to others who may be able to help save a life.

Skyler, Promise’s Brother!

All of you will be relieved to know that Promise has found her forever home last Saturday. She went home with a family who will love her very much and who was very touched by her story. As you know, I kept Promise by my side from the time I would arrive at Animal Control until it was time to leave. When I went there last Saturday to interact dogs, I noticed that there was one that looked just like Promise, only with short hair – same size, same color, same sweet eyes and same loving temperament, with the exception that this one did not have a deep scar from having his muzzle wired shut at one point. I pointed the similarity out to several people – have a look at the first picture and you will see what I mean.

Well, after Promise left with her new family, the Animal Control Officer on duty said “You’ll find a home for her buddy, too, wont you?” I asked him what he meant and he told me that Promise came in with her boyfriend but they had to be separated of course.
I knew immediately who he was talking about – he was talking about Skyler! Well, that can only mean one thing… Promise and Skyler are siblings and they came from the same awful place where Promise’s snout had been wired shut! I realize that many of you reached out to help Promise because her story was just too heart breaking but I hope you will reach out to help Skyler, as well. Though he shows no physical scars, he was kept in the same environment that brought horrible abuse and neglect upon Promise. Skyler is a wonderful family dog. He is very submissive and loving. He is gentle and plays nicely with other dogs. He has eyes that melt a dog lover’s heart. But most of all, he has lost his constant companion and is sitting on death row, just waiting for the needle to silence him forever. Please help me help Skyler and care for him as much as you did for Promise."
