URGENT!! -Final request for Zaphod &
Raybil, Boxer and Sweet Pittie mix

Hi Rescue Partner,
FINAL REQUEST-Raybil -Pit mix, 3 yrs old, male, unaltered, 43 lbs.

Raybil is the sweetest thing!  He is so
gentle and loving, and will crawl right into
your lap to snuggle.  He
almost gallops in place when you take him out for a walk, and acts like an
overgrown puppy, that isn't quite sure what to do with his gangly limbs.
He is dog-social, and loves to play with other pups in the yard!

His front legs are bowed,
which is suggestive of Rickets.  He is currently
eating small meals three times a day, but additional supplements and x-rays are
recommend to get him back on his feet.  Raybil also has a painful ear
infection, and is currently receiving medication 3x a day.  Can you help
this sweet boy get the second chance he needs?

Please let us know if you can help!
Thank you,
Juliette

www.pcdogrescue.orgIn rescue we all experience constant heartbreak, but we don't have time to stop and grieve. Those who work with the public shelters see the animals getting killed and those animals who are lucky enough to be rescued often wait for their forever homes for years. They don't fit the public expectations either because of age, breed, behavior or they just don't have the "look" that people want.

KELLUM is a dog who was saved from the shelter in the nick of time, but he never got adopted even though he is handsome, sweet, and has received professional obedience training at our rescue. The staff at our rescue ADORES him. He doesn't have any behavioral issues that have prevented adoption from our rescue (http://www.pcdogrescue.org), he's just one of those dogs that gets overlooked. Kellum LOVES people. He is a very stable dog, always happy and always wagging his tail. He's a real snuggle bunny.

Unfortunately, we received devastating news: KELLUM IS DYING! He has a cancerous tumor that is growing out of his ribs (5 ribs are affected), into his spine and pushing on his esophagus and lungs!!!!!! Kellum only has a few weeks to live before the tumor is going to cause too much pain or difficulty swallowing and he has to be euthanized.

PLEASE WATCH KELLUM's PLEA FOR A LITTLE BIT OF HAPPINESS!

Hi! My name is Dudley. I'm awful handsome, don't you think? I am 2 years old, and I'm a pit bull. My life wasn't always so bad....I used to live in this great house with another pit bull and everything seemed perfect. Until the day my family decided that they didn't want me anymore and they took me to a place called a shelter. My 'brother' got adopted quickly. The shelter I was at put a 'date' on me. I'm not sure what that means but it seemed pretty important because the nice girls a the HSRC came and picked me up and took me to their shelter. I've been here for a while now and I have to tell you....I don't like it very much. Don't get me wrong....the girls here are extra nice and give me lots of love, treats, walks, etc.....but its just not a home. I get very scared here and don't like when people get in my face because I feel very threatened :(. I'm starting to deteriorate and losing hope I will ever find a home of my own!! :(  Please help me!

Dudley would do best in a home without children and cats.  He has some doggie friends but would need to be introduced slowly.  He loves his bully mix shelter mate Paris!  Dudley will need someone patient to help him with his manners and refresh his housebreaking skills.  He's a sweet goofy boy that needs to have some stability in his life and a family to love!!
The girls here at the HSRC have put a 'date' on me here too of November 8th....although, for some reason...it doesn't seem as important this time because nobody is in a hurry to pick me up!! :(  All I need is someone who can show me love and patience. Maybe this time when someone picks me up, I'll go to a home with a comfy couch to sleep on....like the one in had before. Please help me!  They say my 'date' is November 8th so please share me!!  Transport is available!!

This is Red. Last month, Red, his seven family members and 15
other mustangs were captured from their homes on Nevada's Virginia
Range by the state Department of Agriculture.
They are being held at the Carson City Prison and will be sent to a slaughter
auction if we are not able to raise the funds to save them.
We're on the clock. Will you do your part to help us rescue these horses?
We have until October 29, 2013 to raise $40,000. A $25 contribution from you today will ensure we're able to break these 23 horses out of prison.
The Dreamcatcher Wild Horse and Burro Sanctuary in California is willing
to take Red and his family and keep them together for life...if we are able to raise
an endowment for them. Otherwise Red and his family will be broken up
and put in jeopardy.
We can't turn our backs on these horses. If we don't take them,
the state will send them to a livestock auction, where they will be in danger
of being purchased by kill buyers for slaughter.
That's why we're organizing a prison break and we need your help.
 But time is running out.
A $25 donation from you right now will ensure we have the resources we need to rescue these 23 horses.
Thank you for your compassion and concern.

Sent: Oct 16, 2013 11:15 AM

Subj: CHOCO - DESPERATELY IN NEED OF RESCUE. HAS BEEN IN SHELBY COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER SINCE 2/8/13! Please call the OHIO Shelter at (937) 498-7201 or email kelli.ward@shelbycountysheriff.com.   Choco has been at this shelter the longest (2/8/13) so his time is short.  He was just a puppy when he arrived.  The shelter is in a critically-overcrowded situation with 44 dogs and 26 cages.  Help for him is desperately needed soon. Choco is around 1-year-old, 40-50 lbs. and brindle in color.  He is neutered and has had his DHLPP and Rabies shots.  He gets along great with kids and other dogs.  Just likes to investigate cats!  He is well-behaved and does well with all of the volunteers. VERY EAGER TO PLEASE We are hoping someone will be able to help this beautiful boy soon! http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/25420273/ If you can't help, would you please pass along to any rescue that may be able to.  Please call the Shelter at (937) 498-7201 or email kelli.ward@shelbycountysheriff.com. Petfinder: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/27500720/

Imagine spending day and night 24/7 in a cage. No exercise no walks, just sitting in a dark cage and waiting. Not sure what your fate will be. That is what Spot is living through right now. There is no exercise area, the dogs are in their cages literally 24 hours a day, and there are no volunteers at this pound. Because this pound is in such a rural community, the dogs here do not get any exposure or help.

Please share and help this baby get out of this place!! Transport help can sometimes be arranged.

Spot is a very friendly little guy and needs a home or rescue.

We often have little info on these pets. Unfortunately often the warden doesn't know much more since they are strays or left without any further info. The Dog Pounds # is 419-294-5408 This shelter has CAGES ONLY - no kennels or exercise areas. DOGS ARE CAGED 24/7. Please share these dogs. They get little exposure.
