Innocent animals are euthanized due to the pet owners who just don't care. They dump animals at this shelter and many other ones.
It is not only sick or injured animals who are euthanized but healthy ones.
Please check out the dogs and cats at this shelter who are on the euth list. The shelter does not want to euthanize anyone but it is an open admission shelter which makes it easy for people who have no sense of personal responsibilty when it comes to pet ownership to just drop the pets off. The shelter does not have the resources to care for them. Even if the owner isnot irrespponsible and has to bring the animal to the shelter , the shelter cannot keep animals indefinitely.
