How do you look at dogs who are happy wagging their tales and wanting love and know tomorrow they will get the needle (if they are lucky and not be gassed) and their hearts will stop beating and the joy and hope for a person to take them home will end and know we as human beings did this to them? How can anyone do this day after day without feeling sick? There is enough misery in this life. What we need are more joyous creatures including people who contribute hope to the planet and these dogs whose lives are snuffed out even as (many) wag their tales on the walk to the kill room have that ability. Love and the potential of love is being destroyed each time one animal is euthed.

These dogs could be your dogs who due to unfortunate circumstances end up in a high kill pound where there are almost no adoptions. Emma and Cheyenne and all off them don't deserve what we do to them. How can we take so many lives and be okay with it? Please give these dogs a chance. There is no more time. Tomorrow as I read form a rescuer's e-mail is the day when their hearts will stop beating. unless you or someone calls Meike or goes to the shelter to stop the killings.
