7/27/15 Help Senior Sulphur Mustang Stallion Get to Sanctuary American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign."This majestic wild senior stallion is today languishing in a government holding pen. We told you about his plight earlier this year."

"This majestic wild senior stallion is today languishing in a government holding pen. We told you about his plight earlier this year. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) rounded up this proud mustang in February 2015 and labeled him "Grulla #3907" for an Internet auction.
Mr. Grulla has become the poster child for all that is wrong with the BLM wild horse program. The 26-year-old stallion lived his life wild and free in Utah's Sulphur Springs Herd Management Area -- but that life was stolen from him. Despite tremendous public outcry calling on the BLM to return him to the wild, the BLM auctioned off Mr. Grulla to the highest bidder -- a breeder in the Pacific Northwest. "

Please help us help Mr. Grulla today.

For months, it seemed that this elder mustang was destined to spend his remaining years in a breeding pen. But recently, we received news that the high bidder has reneged! A fantastic mustang advocate who has worked tirelessly to save Mr. Grulla has purchased him and asked for our help.
The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary has kindly agreed to take Mr. Grulla and a friend, another Sulphur mustang, who will travel with him to the 11,000-acre sanctuary in South Dakota. But we need to raise the funds for their transportation and endowment. There, they will join a herd of nine other rescued Sulphur mustangs captured during the same roundup."
