"After seven years, which is handsome Jake's entire life, his owner decided to just dump this five-pound nugget for "financial" reasons. "He is a loving dog and very affectionate. Once he gets to know you, he is very great. Lap dog and will  bring a lot of love to someone home," said the owner, then turned around and walked out, leaving their "beloved" best friend to rot at Manhattan ACC and, eventually, end up on the euth list. Jake will now be killed for a heart murmur, which the owner states he's had his entire life. That doesn't sound fair, now, does it? Long-haired Chihuahuas, which is what Jake is, are known to be very loving little dogs. Unfortunately, Jake only has until noon tomorrow, to love anything at all. After that, he will be killed and discarded like an empty can of soda. Unless, of course, we can find a dedicated foster or adopter for him... NOW. No begging in the world will save him. Someone stepping up for him, will.
