She is loving sweet, and affectionate, everything you would want from a great dog, but the problem is, she is Heartworm Positive. Sydney did have an adopter at one point, but sadly once we informed them that she was Heartworm Positive they backed out. We have been trying to find another adopter for her, but it is difficult to find someone who is willing to pay the cost of treatment. Sydney is great with other dogs, and loves people too. He is an active boy that really enjoys his playtime outside. In fact staff say he enjoys it so much that it is hard to bring him back in sometimes when play time is over. Mr. Whitley does like dogs but he can be dog selective when choosing his friends. Mr. Whitely has been with us for some time now and staff say that they have noticed that it has taken a toll on him when he is caged. He is starting to show signs of cage aggression and they are very concerned for him. Mr. Whitley truly is a great dog and once he is out of this environment and doesn’t have to be caged everyday he should be just fine.
