" Tinkerbell was surrendered by her family yesterday. By the looks of her, she was used pretty much a a breeding machine. Surrender reason: "Can't keep up, leads puppies off". So here she sits, in the pound, Lost, confused, and alone. PLEASE help this girl find a forever home that will love her for who she is, NOT for the money they can make off her!

***RESCUES: If p/u times do not work into your schedule, PLEASE let us know and I will meet you at the shelter!

Adoption fee: $110.00
Includes:
Dogs: Spay/Neuter, DHLPP, Bord., First worming, Microchip, rabies vaccination, and 30 days accident insurance. We also do blood smear heartworm test on all dogs over 6 months. If may request one if under 6 months if you wish.

Cats: Spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, first worming, FVRCP vaccination, FeLV test, and 30 days accident insurance.

*"Princess" and "Choco" 2 medium sized darlings with Huge Hearts !! they
might even be brother and sister !!*

*After a couple of days,, a volunteer realized that they came in
together,,, she took them outside to see each other,, and Princess's face
just LIT UP to see her friend Choco again !!! *

*The two of them kissed each other and CLUNG to one another in their brief
time outside in the sunlight. *

*They thought that everything might be okay,, they thought they were
leaving,,, sadly,, they were not,,,, *

*they were led back in,,, Separated AGAIN,,, and now they are so depressed
and sad.*

*They are both wonderful with other dogs,, they do not have to be rescued
together,, but please God,, let them at least leave this place alive,,,, *

Had it not been for this dear lady he would be dead. She's not able physically to take care if him. Jacob was just hungry, and wanted a warm place to stay. Luckily Jacob wasn't hit by one of the rounds, thanks to this elderly lady Jacob is extremely friendly, good with other dogs, walks on a lead, and is VERY LOVING. Jacob is due to be put down on April 3, 2014." TN .

She's been there way too long and needs rescue commitment ASAP.
#A028461 F Hound mix, brindle short coat, ~2 yrsAlready off stray
hold and needs help quickly! Sweet girl per the shelter
volunteers and has gotten along well with others.
Pull fee is $106 and includes her spay, heartworm test, first
shots and health certificate. Boarding is usually available at
$6-7/day. I can help you fundraise if you pull her (if you're an
approved rescue) but please work with the shelter directly to get
her out.

URGENT! - URGENT! - URGENT! - Topeka KS - BARLEY NEEDS RESCUE ASAP! -
Abandoned to Fend for Himself NOW is the Next to be KILLED for Space in
Shelter!!!

PLEASE LOOK at Barley's photos (if you have trouble viewing them let me know
and I will send in a different format).

Barley is a SWEET, SWEET Boy. His owner went to prison and he and four
other dogs were left alone in the house to fend for themselves. A neighbor
who was paying attention went and got all 5 dogs. She found homes for
everyone but Barley. She could not continue to keep Barley, and he went to
a high kill shelter in Topeka this morning. THE SHELTER IS FULL AND BARLEY
IS THE NEXT ON THE LIST TO BE KILLED FOR SPACE!!!!

I am including some comments from the lady who had him for several weeks, so
that you can read about what a great guy he is, and LOOK at him in his box!!

Barley does very good in the house. I am gone 14 hours a day, and he does
not make any mess in the house. He stays in the kitchen just in case he
does have an accident. I can't tell you if he gets along with any other
animals except for the other 4 he lived with because he has not been around
any other animals. He got along good with the other dogs on his property
but likes to hog all of the human attention. He is very hyper and excitable
but he walks fairly well on a leash. He is a very loving dog.

The shelter is full and cats don't get to stay long... if you can
help even ONE of these beautiful cats, please let me know ASAP at
tierbee@verizon.net (@verizon.net). With rescue commitment we can
get them out and into our fosters. There is no pull fee for
approved rescues.
PLEASE share. The shelter closes at 2 pm today and Friday is
usually euthanasia day.
