If you’d like a pet from this shelter, you need to:
a] come + adopt ;
b] submit your application* now to become a “FCAC-Approved Rescue Group” -this takes a few days to be processed by the FCAC staff- and euth. Is Tuesday at 6pm;

If you are on the official approved list at the shelter, you may make your offer directly
to the director by emailing broomej@floydcountyga.org (@floydcountyga.org) or by
calling 706-236-4545.
In order to be approved to pull under your own license from Georgia shelters, you must have a Georgia license. FCAC continues to welcome out of state rescues! Any rescue on the approved list at the shelter can pull animals for you!

LINE SO THAT YOUR PRECIOUS, LIFESAVING OFFER IS NOT MISSED.
Volunteers are available to pick up animals from the shelter and take them to
local boarding and vet clinics for you! If you need assistance to find someone
to pick up animals for you--Ronda at rondawoman22@aol.com (@aol.com). She can also furnish you with the contact information for local vet clinics and boarding options!
PLEASE ONLY CALL THE SHELTER CONCERNING RESCUE ON THE CRUCIAL
DAYS OF MONDAY AND TUESDAY-- ALL OF THE STAFF HOPE THAT AS MANY
FCAC ANIMALS WILL BE SAVED AS POSSIBLE-- IN FACT, THAT ALL FCAC ANIMALS
WILL BE SAVED!!! So that they ask that you keep the phone lines available for rescue
calls and for those in the community calling on behalf of animals in need!

A SPECIAL NOTE FOR GA LICENSED RESCUES! WHETHER IN STATE OR OUT
OF STATE--The staff and the animals of Floyd County Animal Control extend
a cordial invitation to you to apply for approval at the shelter! You will need
to fill out two forms: 1) a Rescue Approval Application and 2) a list of authorized
agents who are allowed to pick up animals for you. To find these forms

easy when you are on the approved list!!! There are volunteers who will
do their best to assist you with getting your animals picked up from the shelter
and you can always add someone to your approved agent list!

Please network on behalf of these dogs who are at Floyd County Animal Control in Rome, GA and still in need of rescue. They are scheduled to die on Wednesday, November 3rd, but they truly hope you will take them away to safety before then!
All rescues on the approved list of FCAC may rescue the dogs and cats there. You may send your offer to the director at broomej@floydcounty.org (@floydcounty.org). Please be sure to include the words RESCUE OFFER in your subject line so that your lifesaving offer is not missed!
The dogs on this list are truly darling, both big and little, and all are hoping so much that someone will come and love them and take them away!!!!
