DEATH ROW ANIMALS

If you would like to adopt one of the animals below, please contact
newbeginningsanimalrescue@gmail.com or Jen at jen.ellis88@yahoo.com

The animals on this posting are on Death Row at Liberty County Animal Control. We only have very little time, often days, to find them new homes or no kill rescues to save their lives. We have personally interacted with each one of these animals. Our descriptions are straight forward! Our conscience would not allow us to hold anything back, and we would never give false information to save an animal, because it would only result in the animal being returned. You will never find vicious/dangerous animals on our listing! Usually, little or none is known about these animals' medical history. Thanks to micro chips, we do know that many of them are abandoned by military, which means they are most likely up-to-date on there shots, heart worm negative, and generally healthy; however, we cannot guarantee that, which is why each animal must receive prompt veterinary care after adoption/rescue takes place.

Spaying or neutering is a MUST!!! Local adopters MUST purchase a spay/neuter voucher from us, as well as a micro chip and Rabies shot. Spay vouchers are $70 (dogs), $60 (cats) and neuter vouchers are $60 (dogs), $50 (cats). The cost for the micro chip and Rabies shot is $10. (If an adopter chooses to use his/her own vet for the spay/neuter, we will gladly reimburse the voucher amount upon proof from the vet’s office.)

Your help with adopting, rescuing, or fostering these animals is immensely appreciated, as is your help with cross posting to others who may be able to help save a life.

805-677 Cassidy, the Dachshund mix.

Little Cassidy is around 9 months old and is the cutest little --I have a Potty Mouth-- with her pink nose and lips and the darling little whiskers that make her look like a seal. She likes other dogs, cats and kids. She is soft and cuddly and all around adorable. Her hold time is up and she needs to be rescued immediately!

To adopt, you will have to fill out an adoption contract, which includes a mandatory spay/neuter agreement. You will be required to purchase a low-cost spay voucher and pay $10 for her Rabies shot and a micro chip. For more information, please e-mail newbeginningsanimalrescue@gmail.com. We hope to hear from you before it is too late.

804-4391 Faith, the lab mix.

Faith is around 9 mo olds and weighs roughly 35-40lbs. She was a stray that got picked up but, as you can see by her once pretty, pink collar, she belonged to a family at one point. We think her former family may have had kids and cats because she is very friendly with them, as well as other dogs. She passed her tug and pull test. J She is also a very playful girl, not to mention how pretty she is. Her hold time is up 11/19/09.

804-4392 – Reba, the Black and Tan Coonhound mix.

Though Reba’s ears are not nearly long enough, you can see that one of her ancestors must have been a Black and Tan Coonhound. Outside of the black and tan, she also sports a pretty while chest, white socks on her feet and a white tipped tail, making her tri-colored and gorgeous. Poor Reba is a little on the skinny side and sure would appreciate a home that will buy her lots of milk bones and other doggie goodies. Reba is a very friendly girl and is currently housed with another female dog. They are so cute when they play together. Reba is around 9 months old and roughly weighs 35-40lbs. She is also dog and kid friendly and passed her tug and pull test. Her hold time is up 11/19/09.

803-2971 – Tex, the Black Labrador Retriever mix.

We would like to encourage you to meet Tex. He has a very special name! He was named Tex, because he looks and acts like one of the volunteers’ childhood dog, whose name was Tex and who died of old age. Tex is about 9 months old and roughly weighs about 40lbs. He is all black with a white chest. His coat is so soft and shiny and his face is very sweet looking. His eyes are the color of amber. He is dog and kid friendly and is very playful! Passed his tug and pull test. His hold date is up 11/14/09.

To adopt, you will have to fill out an adoption contract, which includes a mandatory spay/neuter agreement. You will be required to purchase a low-cost neuter voucher and pay $10 for her Rabies shot and a micro chip. For more information, please e-mail newbeginningsanimalrescue@gmail.com. We hope to hear from you before it is too late.

803-2976 – Pistol, the Labrador mix.

Pistol’s mixed breed is an issue of debate. His body and head shape are that of a Labrador Retriever, but he has some brown markings and white chest that make some think he may have Rottweiler mixed in. It is very unusual and looks great on him. He would definitely get you lots of compliments and be a conversation starter. Pistol is about 2 yrs old and roughly weighs 60 lbs. He is good with kids and dogs and passed his tug and pull test. He does show alpha tendencies and may do best in a home wit a female or as an only dog. Pistol is very playful, loves balls and water – another Labrador trait of course. We think that he may be house broken, as Pistol is what we jokingly call a “privacy pooper.” His hold time is up 11/17/09.

Maybell, the Viszla mix.

Maybell is another dog who has an owner refusing to pick her up. Due to this, she is now being offered for adoption. Maybell is very obviously a Viszla mix, which is basically a Hungarian Pointer. She is very pretty, only about 2.5yrs old and is good with cats, kids, and other dogs. Maybell weighs about 45-50lbs. and is extremely loving. She has had a litter at least, judging by her teats. Please don’t let this sweetheart get away!
