please xxxxurgent help julia with dogs , save a life ...begging for there lives CONTACT: staradoptions@yahoo.com (yahoo.com) This is Morehead, KY, rural eastern KY CROSSPOST PLEASE!!! Where to even begin? Jan, Sue and myself are in deep and overwhelmed. We cannot keep up. In the past few days I forget how many puppies have been dumped on roadways or left in boxes at the pound. It has never been this bad. Dogs are pouring in like crazy. We have no space left. Jan is at her wits end, I can't hold a thought or keep up with just the emails, Sue is scrambling like a madwoman trying to keep up with STAR and university band. We are discussing the end of STAR. 3 tired women cannot keep it up at this pace. I don't even know if the website is fully UTD. http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/KY251.html We had 8 parvo pups at the pound so they went to the vet and so far 3 have died and the rest are still being treated and the bill is climbing very quickly. Because the pound has to empty now due to parvo, they cannot intake any dogs so the dogs are getting dumped on the roadways instead. Instead of waiting until the pound can empty and reopen, they choose to dump the poor dogs. The pound has to shut down to sanitize every square inch. The dogs at the pound now are safe from parvo. They have been vaccinated long enough. But they still have to move out. Add to the problem that our dog warden, Jimmy, who is an essential part of our team, is out now due to shoulder surgery. http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/KY251.html We have dogs in boarding at Tin Woof Inn and at our 2 foster homes: Need rescues for these dogs right away: 2 heeler mixes - Nike http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=14200748 Justice http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=14097260 Oggy - http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=13987010 Queen (HW+ sponsored) http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=13937055 2 lab mix parvo survivors http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=14272134 2 rott mix parvo survivors http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=14200748 Jazlyn - parvo survivor http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=14415810 4 shepherd/Great Pyr mix puppies http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=14532771 Warble Puppy 6 pittie mix puppies STAR is drowning in vet bills, transport costs, boarding costs and dogs. They are spayed, UTD, HW neg , dewormed, frontlined and need a place to go and I desperately need donations to cover their vet bill. Belle, the younger of the 2 had a bad bout of gastroenteritis that mimiced parvo but the parvo test was neg. She has finished her meds and is doing great. We had $150 for them and still owe $529.
