HERCULES!
***A GEM*** Very sweet senior boy
VIDEO:

•       MEET TAG #:  45568573 (HERCULES) Came in with Bull, Honey, Boo Boo and Cocoa.

•       BREED:  Lab/Pit bull Terrier Mix

•       SEX:  Male/INTACT

•       AGE: Estimate 6 year’s old. 

•       WEIGHT: 38 lbs.

•       INTAKE DATE:  9/21/20

•       REASON:  Owner Surrendered/Can’t afford/Homeless

•       DATE OUT:  ASAP – 10/8/20

•       HEART WORM STATUS: POSITIVE

•       OVERALL BEHAVIOR:   Friendly and calm on kennel approach.  Knows the sit command and is very treat motivated, though he takes treat quickly.  Does not jump up on handler.  Very sweet boy.

•       MEDICAL EXAM:  Waxy/flaky coat, mild tartar on canines and premolars, broken left canine.  Has small pea sized hairless mole on upper lip. 

•       DOG INTERACTION:  Quiet in kennel.  One on one pending.

•       ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Went through Vet Tech Program.

SWEET GIRL who is overweight

•       BREED:  Pit bull mix

•       SEX:  Female/SPAYED

•       AGE:  Estimated 5 year’s old

•       WEIGHT: 69 lbs. (Significantly over weight)

•       INTAKE DATE:  9/17/20

•       REASON:  Owner surrendered – Cannot afford.

•       DATE OUT:  10/1/20

•       HEART WORM STATUS:  POSITIVE

•       OVERALL BEHAVIOR:  Dog was very nervous upon intake. Had her tail tucked between her rear legs the entire time. Did warm up to us towards the end of the exam and wagged her tail some. Allowed for full exam, restraint and blood draw.  Very sweet girl.  Calm on kennel approach.  Easily allows leash placement and walks well on leash with handler.  Does not jump up.

•       MEDICAL EXAM:  Some moderate dental tartar.  All four canine teeth are chipped.  Significantly over weight.  Hair loss on both sides of lateral abdomen.  Quarter sized alopecia noted at left hip, right hip and on dorsal tail. 

•       DOG INTERACTION:  Non-reactive when passing other kennel stalls.  Met an intact male (Jif) and both dogs were relaxed and happy tail wags.  Both dogs re-directed to other interests. 

•       ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  None
