Byron, GA - SOS!! - Little 25-pounder is very urgent!!

The Lab and her bonded Beagle brother were adopted together yesterday, so
great news to report for them!

But this little 25-pounder is very urgent in Byron, GA! She was found
running down the interstate with harness and leash attached.

She is super sweet and friendly, and is around 2-years old.

This is a tiny shelter, and she is now very urgent as they are now jammed
packed!

6/24/15 Give A Dog a New Life- Dogs Who Shelters Would Have Put Down Find Safety and Care Here- "came here labeled "unadoptable" have been able to have families after spending time with us here at the farm and learning to trust people. ​Many of the dogs who have come here are adoptable. We have an excellent adoption program, and find great families for the dogs who can be adopted. Our goal is to rehome as many of the dogs who came here as possible!" "Smiling Dog Farms is a Sanctuary, not a traditional rescue.

 We are a "Last Resort" for dogs who have run out of options and are facing certain death.  Our mission is to care for those dogs who have nowhere else to go.

 Our dogs have come from shelters, rescues and individuals all across America.  They have come for many, varied reasons.  Some have medical issues, some have behavioral challenges, some are older, senior dogs and some just ran out of time at a shelter and would have been put down if they had not come here.  If a dog is breathing, he is welcomed at Smiling Dog Farms.

Major- Story from Animal Rescue Site- 

"They found out he was FIV+ and they were all deeply upset as everyone instantly loved him due to his playful personality and affectionate nature. I became involved when one of the techs at POP called to find out if I knew anyone who would take an FIV+ cat. The choice was up to POP to find a place for him by the end of the work day or to euthanize him. He rubbed all over the techs and purred up a storm as they went to euthanize him at 5pm - and that's when I got the call for help! He was going to Orange County Animal Services, and since he had been neutered that morning, he could be transferred to OCAS for no fee! He currently resides there and is patiently waiting to find his forever home!"
