TUESDAY, August 19th, 2014: NOTIFICATION: The Clayton
County Animal Control
Center is currently experiencing an overcrowding
situation that impacts its
ability to adequately respond and service the
citizens of Clayton County.
Due to the overcrowding situation Clayton County
is planning to conduct
euthanizations(sic) within the next 24 to 48 hours on
animals that have
been declared "violent", have serious medical issues, and
are
one of the five breeds that the public cannot adopt. **(the majority
of the
dogs here are pitties)
We are asking that all Rescue groups
assist us in finding a suitable home
for our animals, and also asking the
public to assist in giving some of our
animals a chance to become a part of a
Clayton County family.
The breeds that cannot be adopted are as follows:
Pit Bull, Chow, Akita,
Rottweiler,Shar Pei
