Animals That Need Rescue
If you can rescue an animal on
this list, please email Jennifer Sigmon at
jennifersigmon@
catawbacountync.
gov. To offer rescue placement to an
animal on this list, you must email Jennifer. The group must fill out and submit
the rescue agreement form and supporting documents, and be approved to pull from
our shelter.
If your rescue group has never pulled from our shelter then we
will need to approve your group to pull from us. We would need the attached
rescue group agreement to be filled out and sent back along with a copy of your
group’s 501c3 and a copy of your group’s adoption contract. Rescue group
approval may take 24 hours or more depending contact to the references. Please
remember to fill out the rescue group agreement entirely. Please do not wait
until the “need out” date to begin the process of pulling an animal. We do not
have the ability to be no-kill due to the large numbers we take in.
Our main
method of contact regarding rescues is EMAIL. DUE TO THE NUMBER OF RESPONSE
EMAILS, PLEASE ONLY RESPOND IF YOU CAN HELP PULL THE ANIMAL AND PLACE THAT
ANIMAL’S NAME IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF THE RESPONSE EMAIL.
Please note: We
cannot guarantee the breed of a dog. We can only speak as to what breed we think
the animal is.

A168406 -NEUTEREDMALE, BROWN
LABRADOR RETR MIX, 10Y –Owner surrendered. Very sweet. Good with other dogs.
Weighs about 70 lbs. Must be out by 9/28. Fabulous boy!!!! He is a great
dog---we have been using him to dog test other dogs with….he remains calm even
when a dog challenges him he does not try to fight back.

- UNALTERED FEMALE, BROWN LABRADOR RETR MIX, 6M-This animal will be available
for rescue on 9/27/2013. Brought in as a stray. Very sweet but shy when you
first meet her. Good with other dogs. Weighs about 30 lbs. Must be out by
9/27.
DANYA
A168825 - UNALTERED FEMALE , BLACK LABRADOR RETR MIX, 8M
-This animal will be available for rescue on 10/15/2013. Brought in as a stray.
Very sweet. Good with other dogs. Weighs about 40 lbs. Must be out by
10/16.
DUNCAN
A168845 - NEUTEREDMALE, LIVER POINTER, 3Y -This animal
will be available for rescue on 10/16/2013. Brought in as a stray. Very sweet
and quiet. Good with other dogs. Can climb fence. Weighs about 55-60 lbs. Must
be out by 10/16.
