NEW VAXX INTAKE PROGRAM AT GALLIA COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER, Gallipolis, OHIO

A few weeks back, there was a lot of sickness coming from the shelter and some of our wonderful rescues paid the price for that(as did the pups). The only good thing to come out of this was the implementation of a new vaxx intake program at Gallia. The local volunteers insisted on it and on making changes at the pound and how it is cleaned. All the dogs on this post have been vaxxed, either on 7/1 or 7/6. with a five way shot. Many have also been dewormed!

We have not been getting pulls because we are sure that rescues were nervous. But since the vaxx intake program commenced, there has been no sickness, proof of how vitally important these programs are. The local volunteers have funded this out of their own pockets!

Please consider Gallia CTY OHIO Dogs. WE have not moved any dogs in weeks… and it is really urgent that we do so. See the wonderful dogs that need help below

There has been an influx of dogs and pups at the Gallia Pound. Please consider one. The pound is very full. If a dog is pulled, it will not only help that dog, but likely help another as well. PLEASE CONSIDER THE DOGS WHO HAVE SAT AT THE SHELTER WEEK AFTER WEEK AS WELL AS THE NEW DOGS AND PUPS.

Male Pointer x, Young 1-2 years. Beautiful boy. Friendly dog! Mostly white. 50-60 lbs. Nice boy!

Catahoula mix –FANTASTIC DOG. .KNOWS COMMANDS AND TRICKS. Gorgeous markings.

K11 – Catahoula mix male, 8-10 months old, 50 lbs range, handsome dog, highly intelligent and athletic. Would be great with agility, fly ball, or some doggie sport. Good jogging partner! Gorgeous markings, Handsome boy! More photos available.

K-6. GSP-GREAT PYR mix. , male , friendly to people, friendly with other dogs. Not good with cats. Up to a year old, 65lbs.

K13- boxer mix boy with long legs. Strong dog and very handsome. 60 lbs, about 1 year-1.5 years old . Depressed at the shelter. The local rescue group got him into a foster home,so his spirits would pick up.

Sassy, red vizsla mix. WE can’t understand why this pretty and sweet girl hasn’t been pulled! Sassy is about 2 years old..and has light amber eyes, like a viszla. Please get her out of the shelter. She was tested with other dogs and did very well.

SHEP MIX MOMMA DOG CAME IN WITH NO PUPPIES! SHE IS YOUNG ABOUT 1.5 years old and very friendly. I will confirm her age. Please help her. What a sweet, kind face~ She weighs 45 -50 lbs.

Little Red and white beagle x puppy, female, one shot./over a week ago. 8-10 weeks.

Border collie-pointer mix DOG IN FOSTER< SPAYED AND UTD ON SHOTS.

A kind lady in Gallia rescued me when I was abandoned by my family. She has a farm and I live there outside. She also spayed me./ I had my puppy boosters and 2 rabies shots( I yr a nd 2 year). My foster mom says this about me:

Timid at first but loving when gets to know you. Owners moved to Nashville. She was raised in house but has been out side since about year old.

I need a permanent home! Please help me to find one!

Hi, MY NAME IS BEAR! I am probably a Yellow lab x and I have lived my short life on a chain. The landlady of the property, who cares about dogs, had me neutered but her tenant, my owner, is just leaving me behind. He didn’t pay any attention to me. I was lucky that the landlady was nice> I am ready to find a better home. I am 3 years old and very friendly.
