PLEASE FORWARD / CROSSPOST / HELP ASAP!! * INFO BELOW
From: Gina Austin
Honey Marer, from Picking up the Pieces Sanctuary, located in Adamsville, TN, has fallen ill with stage 2 adenocarcinoma. She is undergoing chemotherapy and she is quite ill. Once she is done with Chemo, she will be facing major surgery. Honey has been trying to place the dogs in her rescue dogs, as she is getting to weak to feed them. Her husband was helping her with the dogs, but today he called her on the telephone saying HE WAS LEAVING HER and that he wouldn't be coming home again!!! WHAT A "MAN"!!
(Don't you all hope there truly is such a thing as Karma?)
Honey has been fainting, a lot, due to the Chemo, and she is bruising easily. She can no longer lift heavy bags of food. Her husband left her with $6 in her pocket and 50 pounds of dog food- period end.
She doesn't know how she will be able to care for herself, let alone the dogs she still needs to place. She will NOT bring them to a "shelter" where they will be KILLED.
I know the rescue community is filled with good people. Honey needs your help to place the 13 dogs she still has in her rescue.

Chloe is the most recent puppy DELIBERATLY THROWN FROM A MOVING VEHICLE. Her left hind LEG IS BROKEN and the growth plate is damaged, therefore at minimum will never grow properly, at worst will need amputation. We are at the wait and see stage at this point. She is walking a straight line hot on my heels and is housebreaking beautifully. She will be pure joy in her adoptive person's life. She only needs that leg to decide it it wants to heal properly or not! She is playing w/ the other dogs and running around on 3 legs like she hasn't a care in the world!
If you live in the area, and can help Honey care for and feed her dogs, until they are placed, please volunteer to do so! Even if you have only 15 or 20 minutes a day, that would still help!
SHE REALLY NEEDS OUR HELP! We must take care of our own!
If you can donate food to Honey, for her dogs, until she can place them, that would help Honey tremendously! I hope whoever reads this message will cross-post, and help in any way they can.
Honey has devoted her life to helping abused animals and animals others considered disposable- now- she needs your help dont let her down- she is facing the fight of her life, so whoever can make this easier for her, please, I BEG you, do whatever you can, to help!
